For Heartbeat Opera’s eye-popping production of Dragus Maximus, CIC Member Mio Guberinic of Mio Design NYC LLC, used 3D printing and laser cutting for this Medusa design. Snake skulls were 3D printed in lightweight plastic, while vertebrae and ribs were laser-cut in rigid foam.

3D printing and laser cutting technology has revolutionized how some costume makers work, providing a dynamic and more precise way to produce other worldly designs.
